This study investigates the impact of Strategic Human Resource Management practices on organizational performance of Iranian insurance offices. To this end, 15 Asia insurance offices were selected, using stratified random sampling method, in Isfahan, Iran. 60 questionnaires were distributed between the managers of the offices. The questionnaire was consisted of seven SHRM practices, consisted of SHRM alignment with business objectives and strategies, line management devolvement, line management training in HR practices, selection system, training and development system, compensation system, and career planning system. Each of these practices had some questions in a 5-point Likert scale. Among all 60 distributed questionnaires, 42 completed and usable ones were analyzed. The results showed the positive effect of SHRM practices on organizational performance. It also indicated that SHRM alignment, line management training, and career planning system were the most influential practices in insurance industry. This study paved the way for more research on the effect of SHRM in different industries in Iran.
