چکیده مقاله:

In this research consolidation tests were carried out on specimens of Tehran clay. Undisturbed sampleswere prepared from different depths. Compression index is the parameter of the soil that is required forcalculation of settlement. Attempts have been made to correlate compressibility with index properties ofclay such as plastic index, initial void ratio, liquid limit, plastic limit and initial water content. Manycorrelations have been carried out, It was found that a good relationship exists between CC/n0 and CC,Cr/n0 and Cr which reflects the soil compressibility.
