چکیده

Designing the tuned liquid dampers and determining their impact on offshore steel jacket platform is the purpose of this research. Tuned liquid dampers are classified as passive control systems. The real case study is a platform located in the 4 Phase South Pars in the Persian Gulf. In this study, the effect of the tuned liquid dampers that set under the deck of the offshore steel jacket platform is investigated to reduce seismicvibrations. For dissipation the seismic energy, the tuned liquid dampers with cubicshape in offshore steel jacket platform is used that thise type of dampers are usuallyfilled by water. The platform is model as a single degree of freedom with the equations of motion of structures and dampers with the Matlab/Simulink toolbox. The results showed that this types of seismic dissipation devices reduced RMS of response about 11 percent and the maximum of displacement about 11 percent
