خلاصه مقاله:
Colloidal nano silver was applied on the surface of cotton fabric and stabilized using two different carboxylic acid: 1,2,3,4-butanetetracarboxylic acid (BTCA) and citric acid (CA). Cotton fabrics also dyed simultaneously with finishing process and separately before or after finishing (pre-treatment and after treatment). Color strength of dyed fiber measured by spectrophotometry. The presence of nano silver particles on the surface of treated cotton fabric was proved the FE-SEM images. Furthermore, the creation of cross-links was confirmed by the means of ATR–FTIR spectra. Antimicrobial activity of treated fabric evaluated by AATCC 147 standard method. Wash fastness and staining effect also performed in ISO standard number C01. The results showed that after treatment method has shown very good color strength while single step method and pre-treatment were undesirable in this manner. Besides antimicrobial activity was better in presence of BTCA. Wash fastness and staining effect was improved due to use of carboxylic acid.
