Mesopores in ZSM-5 catalyst structure facilitate the access of reactants to the active sites and impregnation of a rare metal oxide decreases the acidity. Both modifications improve the production of light olefins from catalytic cracking of LPG over the catalyst.In this work we showed that the sequence of the modifications of creating the mesopores and the metal impregnation change the distribution of the components in the product. Cu was loaded on ZSM-5 zeolite by impregnation method and mesopores was created by alkaline treatment with 0.2 M NaOH. The selectivity of propylene is increasing in the product of catalytic cracking of LPG over the catalyst sample that is modified via the Impregnation-Desilication Sequence(IDS). The ethylene selectivity is increased via the Desilication-Impregnation Sequence(DIS).
