خلاصه مقاله:
The recovery of silver in the form of nanoparticles from spent X-ray fixing solution is reported in this work. X-ray fixing solution rich in silver from industrial or medical sources may be treated primarily with magnesium powder followed by smelting the sample in a horizontal tube furnace. Silver nanoparticles were eventually formed by treatment of the sample with sodium chloride solution. The results from XRD analysis confirm successful formation of silver nanoparticles. The SEM images show that spherical silver nanoparticles with 80 nm mean particle size are formed.
