چکیده

The focus of the present research is reviewing and comparing some different Current-Mode Signaling (CMS) schemes for global VLSI interconnects. CMS is one of the most promising schemes for high-speed low-power communication over long on-chip Global interconnects. The current-mode system has less propagation delay and power consumption regard to Voltage-Mode (VM) one. In this paper, propagation delay models are illustrated for some CMS methods. Moreover; some closed-form models for delay and power dissipation of current-mode interconnect in VLSI circuits are described. The preference of these CMS schemes and modeling types depends on our application
