چکیده

There is a sense of an obvious need for the calculations needed to design and simulate the flow pipelines and reservoir-related calculations: Evaluating the reservoir fluids properties as accurate as possible. These properties should be obtained using laboratory based analysis. In the lack of ability to direct laboratory measurements, some empirical correlations are used. During the recent years, several correlations are obtained through laboratory measurements so that they could estimate the properties of oil and gas. These correlations are not such simple and could not be calculated by hand easily. So the best way to apply the correlations and obtain the reservoir fluids properties is to design a computer program, which can be run on a computer itself or programmable scientific calculators. The purpose of this paper is to develop an easy-to-use Matlab-based computer program to analyze the properties of the reservoir fluids through surface separator data. Reviewing the act of the reservoirs it should be noted that surface sampling is performed in the case of single phase reservoir fluid which specifically referred to dry gas, wet gas, retrograde gas which has not reached its dew point and oil which has not reached its bubble point yet. Gas reservoirs are analyzed through black oil and compositional analysis, but crude oil is usually analyzed though black oil analysis. This specification is considered in the program. The first unit for hydrocarbon to enter, production unit, has the ability to provide what is needed for separator recombination which finally outputs the reservoir fluid composition or specific gravity, the two main parameters to be inputted in the previously-said correlations to calculate oil and gas properties. The program to be written will input the reservoir characteristics such as GOR, API and compositions, performs the separator recombination and after calculating reservoir composition or gravity as needed, will produce the reservoir fluid properties using the so-called correlations.
