Membrane separation processes operate without heating and therefore use less energy than separation processes such as distillation, sublimation or crystallization .Generally, membrane separations are efficient and developing processes in many process industries due to their middle operating condition. Membrane is the heart of a membrane process. The separation process is purely physical and both fractions (permeate and retentate) can be used. Nanocomposite is a multiphase solid material where one of the phases has one, two or three dimensions of less than 100 nanometers (nm). This work presents a software simulation for CO2/CH4 separation using BPPOdp - fumed silica nanocomposite membrane. The results achieved show that non permeable particles caused more flux of gas by adsorption and desorption. Model is simulated by COMSOL multiphysics simulation software. simulation was studied to solve partial differential equation. The simulation illustrates that, flux and selectivity have been increased and modeling can describe phenomenon. The results showed a very good agreement between calculated results and modeling results with A.R.E less than 12 percent. The volatility of CO2/CH4 in polymer matrix in the presence of silica non-permeable filler according to literature data and simulation are 15.3 and 16.85, respectively with ARE 9.2%
