Characteristics of wind waves are necessary for any coastal engineering projects such asdesigning ports, coastal and offshore structures, estimating sediment transport and beacherosion. Presence of large numbers of marine structures in Persian Gulf within Qeshm andHormoz Islands as well as travelling numerous commercial and passenger vessels through theregion necessitates exact prediction and identification of wind waves’ height in differentclimatic conditions.
