چکیده
Today, the range of definitions of sustainable development includes avariety of different issues and branches in the various areas of policymaking and operation. However, the requirement for achieving thesuccessful sustainable development in all aspects is strategicperspective with the use of strategic management knowledge fordecision making in the implementation of operational plans. It has beena missing link and forgotten important matter in development projectsof development and urban renewal. Strategic planning documented inexplaining the cultural perspectives of the cities that part of which isreflected in historical fabrics, can result in rehabilitation and functionaldetermination in order to achieve a sustainable development. This paperexamines the impact of strategic planning based on the principles ofsustainable development in regeneration and utilization of historicalfabrics and cultural urban aspects using documentation, analysis andfield survey methods, and as a case sample the improvement solutionsof public space and restoration of the historical cultural center ofSemnan city which has known by one the most valuable historical citieswith lots of worthwhile monuments in Iran, for sustainable culturaldevelopment would be debated.کلیدواژه ها
