Vocabulary is an essential component of communicative competence, and vocabulary learning isan important ingredient of second or foreign language learning. The emergence of mindmapping in the last decades has established a powerful presence in foreign language teaching andlearning in general, and L2 vocabulary learning in particular. Therefore, this study aimed atreviewing the effect of graphic organizer strategy on Iranian EFL learners’ vocabulary learning,The findings of the current study revealed that graphic organizers were indeed conducive tolearners’ L2 vocabulary learning.
