Power Stations have a core role in Energy sector.Maintenance in Power stations is an indispensable part ofthe stability of power product process and plays animportant role in a power Company’s success andsurvival. The main purpose of maintenance is to ensureequipment functions at its original optimal level. Thus,the knowledge and skills of operators are crucial and indemand. Today’s Knowledge management inmaintenance has become a critical success factor. Thispaper, by the glimpse review of Total ProductiveMaintenance (TPM) as the base of maintenance practices,presents a knowledge management of maintenanceactivities transfer method. Knowledge management is aprocess that a company cannot avoid, because it is a stepin providing the necessary information for businessperformance measurements. Based on the knowledgemanagement system for a consultant company, this paperpropose a knowledge repository or warehouse formaintenance activities that consists of four elements: bestpractice, databases, discussion forums and assessmenttools. Each element has its own role and contributiontowards better maintenance activities. Therefore,knowledge management has a deep relationship withperformance evaluation or measurement. It will be usefulto researchers, managers, maintenance professionals andothers concerned with maintenance to understand thesignificance of Knowledge management in power stationsmaintenance.
