چکیده
Best practice in relay management means essentially a permanentimprovement of the present high performance standard of protection systems at minimum cost. This may be achieved in engineering of protectionschemes, upgraded relay performance, routine testing and maintenance, faultreporting and fault analysis as well as by statistics Numerical relays are now leading to many changes in these fairly fundamental and well established protection management practices. The extent of implementation into engineering, assembly, erection, commissioning and service for maximum economic and operation benefit depends strongly on the relay engineer. He needs to transfer promising features into the utility's relay policy.
