A Linear Programming Model for Multi-Group Discriminant Analysis

Discriminant Analysis (DA) is a classification method that can predict the group membership of a newly sampled observation. This paper sets out to solve the multi (more than two)-group classification problem, and develops a new linear programming model which simultaneously determines the weights and the cut-off values for the different discriminant functions.
