خلاصه مقاله:
An architectural element can be useless even harmful for human comfort zone while it is essential in different climate. Absorbing much rate of solar energy in a cold and frozen climate is not architectural aim in hot-arid climate. In this paper, cooling techniques of a traditional icebox in desert of Iran-Meymand has been compared with a traditional mosque in cold climate of Tabriz city. Their element distances and heights have been analysed using of quantitative andgraphical methods. A graphical diagram presented after computing critical zones for different climates by sun pathdiagram. Finally, this paper did assert the compatibility of long barrier in front of southern aspect of Meymand`s icehouse and short dome of Blue mosque in front of its main dome
