چکیده

Nowadays companies are in competing with each other to reduce costs, increase flexibility, improve quality and cut down the lead time. This paper deals with applying Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to select the best production paradigm in the Iranian manufacturing industry. To examine the performance of this solution procedure, the answers were compared in three similar companies that operate in textile industry .This paper also aims to show the functional differences of Mass, lean and Agile Production by comparing among the production alternative. For that we have chosen four criteria to compare these manufacturing paradigms with each other. Four important elements i.e. quality, cost, delivery time and flexibility are identified to assess differences of production paradigms. A paired comparison of these elements has been carried out to find out their impact on mass, lean and agile production with the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method by using the Expert choice software. The decision is made among the three production paradigms and it shows that the lean production is the best among the three production paradigms and the answers have high validity.
