چکیده

Efficacy of five species of the Trichoderma namely: hamatum, harzianum, koningi, longiconis and viride were tested for their relative bio-control impact to inhibit the radial growth of the wilt pathogen of Brassica oleraceae under laboratory condition using dual culture method. Among them, T. harzianum was found to be the most effective antagonist followed by T. hamatum, T. longiconis and T. koningi. Trichoderma viride was found to be ineffective. In glasshouse pot culture sowing of B. oleraceae seeds coated with T. harzianum spores in artificially made Fusarium infested soil could not reduce wilt, whereas, applying of soil with biomass formulation of T. harzianum in maize meal sand medium @ 43-63 g/kg soil caused significant disease reduction of wilt disease up to 80% as compared to control.
