خلاصه مقاله:
High Energy consumption is one of the most important challenges desalination plants are encountered with today. Wind energy as a promising source of clean power supply can play a considerable role in providing desalination plants with sufficient amount of energy. In this paper, wind energy is considered as the power source for water purification purposes, and different desalination technologies using wind power as the main power source are investigated. Moreover, a new method of potable water production from atmospheric humid air is described which can be combined with wind turbines as power production unit.
