چکیده مقاله:

The present report deals with the trends of chellation between Cr(III) and acetylacetone in a micellar medium under different ionic strengths over the range(0.1 to 0.7mol dm-3)of potassium chloride by utilization UV-Vis spectrophotometric techniques. acetylacetone (2,4-pentanedione or C5H8O2) is an organic compound and a proper chelating agent with nearly 60 metals as diketone complexes. In many reactions, this ligand serves as a common bidentate agent. It is also a building block for the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds.[1] The composition of the complex was determined by the continuous variation and mole ratio methods under the optimized conditions. The chemical variables such as pH, concentration, salt type for adjusting the ionic strengths, time, temperature, amount of alcohol and non-ionic micellar agents were also investigated. Finally,the stability constants were determined according to the reliable tabulated equations in the literature in aqueous, alcoholic and micellar media.
