چکیده

Unlike hydrocarbon energies, renewable energy (RE) is developed from resources which are constantly replenished and will never run out. This paper assesses the status of renewable energy in Iran and Taiwan. Iran has a great capacity in the field of oil and gas, while Taiwan imports about 97.5% of its energy, which is vital to the rapidly industrializing economy. Our studies show that, during late decades, Taiwan has had good improvements in clean energy industry. On the other hand, although Iran has had some movements in this field, in accordance with plenty of potentialities in the field of green energy, there are lots of opportunities in developing this industry in Iran. For this reason, Iran should concentrate more on RE industry. In the end, some advice has been given to Iran to improve its RE industry.
