matrrial management is the most challengeable discipline of project management in iran oil industry and pertinent diffeculties have high tendency to increase . This research discusses key issues of materials flow in projects with on the most problematic part of materials that is known as the main or critical equipment in the oil industry terminology. the intetion is to highlight the importance and major effects of this section of project managment, and to identify the key issues of procurement and material managment of this category of materials.the process of this research is based on reviewing current material manaement practices of such items,collecting interview and questionnaire data gathering among oil project participants, then. analyzing the gathered information and finding relations between equipment supply and implementation orf project are performed.at the early stages of oil projects to acheeve projects planed objectives.
