چکیده

In this paper, the shear strength reduction method applied in ABAQUS software has been used for the stability analysis of slope reinforced with one row of piles. The influence of effective factors such as piles head condition, piles location, piles spacing and piles bending stiffness on the embedded piles length and the performance of reinforced slope is analyzed. Piles head condition have major influences on the factor of safety and the critical length of piles so that hinged head condition will lead to the higher factor of safety and lower critical length. The optimal piles location is dependent on the piles length so that with increasing of piles length, its position from the toe moves toward the middle part of the slope and the maximum progression of the factor of safety will occur when the stabilizing piles are installed in the middle part of the slope. By increasing of the piles length and reducing of the piles spacing, the growth rate of the factor of safety will increase, regardless of piles head condition. The critical slip surface of reinforced slope is found to be nearly divided into two parts when the piles spacing is small, and these two parts gradually get incorporated by increasing of piles spacing until a clear critical slip surface is formed.
