Ichneumonidae (Hymenoptera) fauna on Alfalfa field in Khorasan-e- Razavi Province

Ichneumonidae is a large family Hymenoptera with about 60 000 species belonging to 35 genera worldwide. They parasite Lepidoptera, Hymenoptera, Diptera, Coleoptera and rarely spiders and other arthropod groups. Identification of this species is useful for biological control. Until now, 524 species of this family are reported from Iran. Sampleswere collected using malaise trap and sweeping net on alfalfa field from Bardeskan, Bejestan and Sabzevar in Khorasan-e-Razavi province during 2012-2013. Totally 14 species belong 14 genera and 11 subfamily were collected and identified, of which 4 subfamily and 10 species are new for Khorasan-e-Razavi province fauna, indicated by adagger (†) and an asterisk (*), respectively. List of species are as below: Anomalon cruentatum (Geoffroy, 1785)* (Anomaloninae), Barylypa propugnator (Förster, 1855)* (Anomaloninae), Exetastes syriacus Schmiedeknecht, 1910* (Banchinae†), Hyposoter sp.* (Campopleginae), Diadegma sp.* (Campopleginae), Temelucha tricolorata Sedivy, 1968 (Cremastinae), Dichrogaster aestivalis (Gravenhorst, 1829) (Cryptinae), Diplazon laetatorius (Fabricius, 1781)* (Diplazontinae†), Enizemum ornatum (Gravenhorst, 1829)* (Diplazontinae), Spilothyrateles nuptatorius (Fabricius, 1793)* (Ichneumoninae), Mesochorus sp.* (Mesochorinae†), Ophion sp.* (Ophioninae†), Zaglyptus multicolor (Gravenhorst, 1829) (Pimplinae), Aneuclis incidens (Thomson, 1889) (Tersilochinae). Genus Mesochorus and Exetastes syriacus are new record for Iran fauna.
