چکیده

Among the components of a floating unit, the mooring system is of a great importance. There are also several parameters that should be taken into account for the design of a mooring system.Hence, in order to define the optimum mooring system, i.e. the mooring system that leads to the minimum responses of the floating unit, several design aspects should be taken into consideration. In this research, the mooring pattern which minimizes the responses of thefloating unit is considered as optimization parameter. Present subject has been considered as an optimization problem with application of Genetic Algorithms in some researches (eg., [1], [2]). In some other researches (eg., [3]), optimization of product riser has been considered using ahybrid fuzzy-genetic algorithm. Besides, there are many researches which deal with optimization of structures using fuzzy logic regarding various design aspects (eg., [4], [5]). In present research, however, an optimized pattern will be obtained for mooring a floating unit subjected to directional environmental conditions using fuzzy logic approach; which leads to better station keeping of floating unit and reduces its drifts.
