Nowadays maritime transportation plays an importance role in economic development and countries industry. For this reason, managers of major ports in the world such as Shahid Rajaee port complex setnumber of objective that one of them is preparation to attract attention of shipping companiesand investors who make investment on sea trade. Undoubtedly without having knowledge of annually sedimentation rate, proper plan for dredgingto obtain a safe depth in the channels and basins it is impossible to render services to new generation of ships as well as attracting attention of big shipping companies of investors.This research is field study and analysis of different methods of dredging work, annual sedimentation rate, optimum dredging and suitable disposal in Shahid Rajaee port complex. For study amount annually sedimentation rate in channel and entrance of breakwater of ShahidRajaee port, we chose 5 station in channel and interval breakwater and by measuring characteristics of wave , tidal current and depth of water in each station in summer time of 1386 and by using of Bijker formula can estimate amount of annually sedimentation which will beabout 420000 m³ For calculation amount of annually sedimentation in basins and channel of Shahid Rajaee port, by comparison of hydrographic charts (1385-1386 ) and by use of hydrographic software amount of sediment will be a bout 356,000 m³ in basins and 483000 m³ inchannel. There for by comparison two amount of annually sedimentation in channel achive 1.15 to change Bijker formula to hydrography.In second part of research we study different kind of dredgers and dredging and optimum method of dredging for Shahid Rajaee port, by this study we suggested to use of hopper suction dredging with water jet system for capital and maintenance dredging in channel and basin and gripe dredging in near of jetties. In third part of this research we study methods of disposal dredging material, disposal in coastal areas will be suitable for Shahid Rajaee port, however disposal in coastal areas because of decrease in distance between dredging and dumping area and save some fuel and time will beeconomic and In last part of this research with regards to the application of dredging material in the world today.It is to be noted that, desirable dredging material is suitable for land reclamation in Shahid Rajaee port .
