چکیده مقاله:

This study presents a novel colorimetric sensor utilizing the erythrosine-mercury (ERS-Hg) complex for the selective and sensitive detection of atropine. The interaction between atropine and the ERS-Hg complex induces distinct spectral changes in the UV-Vis absorption spectrum, accompanied by a visible color transition from violet to orange. The sensor demonstrates high sensitivity with a detection limit of ۰.۴۲ _x۰۰۰۳_۹۵M and a linear response range up to ۱۲ _x۰۰۰۳_۹۵M. Mechanistic studies, including Benesi-Hildebrand analysis, confirm a ۱:۱ binding stoichiometry with a stability constant of ۰.۲۴۳ M-۱. The method exhibits excellent selectivity against common ions and organic interferents, and its applicability is validated through successful atropine quantification in pharmaceutical tablets and spiked human urine samples with recovery rates of ۹۷-۱۰۲%. This cost-effective, rapid, and instrument-free approach holds significant potential for pharmaceutical quality control and clinical diagnostics.
