چکیده
This paper presents a numerical investigation on heat transfer and flied flow characteristics of turbulent swirl flow generated by full-length twisted tapes (TTs). The TTs with twisted ratio (W/y) was applied at the middle of test section. The numerical modeling was conducted under uniform heat flux conditions for water flow rate in the range of 5,000< Re< 15,000. The numerical results reveals that the tape with full-length twisted tape (TT) yields higher mean Nusselt number than that one without swirl generator. The local Nusselt number decreases by increasing the axial distance after the twisted tape within the round tube. In addition, the empirical correlations for Nusselt number, friction factor and also thermal performance factor have been developed. The consequence results obtained from the correlations are found to be in good agreement with experimental data's existing in literature within a few variations for all of themکلیدواژه ها
