چکیده مقاله:

One of the methods which use for design platforms as inherently safe is Consequence Analyses Study. The Consequence Analysis will examine the fire hazard scenarios, brought about by the hydrocarbon inventories on the facilities including topside equipment, risers and the sea lines. Moreover the toxic release consequences to be considered in the study. Based on this examination, the Consequence Analysis will confirm the adequacy of the safety measures, such as active fire fighting systems and passive fire protection on the facilities. The results presented within this study could also be used as inputs into other discipline area and also be used as base data for the associated safety studies that generally be accomplished for safe design of oil &gas platforms such as Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis (EERA) and Emergency System Survivability Analysis (ESSA) and also QRA. Each flammable isolatable section and non-process inventory will be assessed to determine the consequence and escalation potential from the following:• Subsea release • Flammable gas release / flash fires • Toxic gas release • Gas / liquid jet fire• Pool fire • Other fires (from process / Utilities area) Finally some hazard scenario related to one of the South Pars Offshore Platforms will be analyzed as a case study.
