چکیده

Accurate measurements of fluid viscosities are essential in many industries such as petroleum industries, so there are numerous types of apparatus for obtaining viscosities of fluids at high pressures and temperatures, but presence of the many important problems by using the old methods, cause to make new method to increase the accuracy of the result and reduce the problem. In this article we present a new method and related apparatus, novel viscometer which design by B.B. Maini and S.Kokal, from Petroleum Recovery Institute, Calgary, Alberta T2L 2A6, Canada which is remove the main old apparatus’s problems, the essential features of the viscometer are that it does not require (1) a means of generating constant flow rate, or (2) a means of generating a constant pressure drop, or (3) measurement of flow rate, or (4) a large volume of the fluid being tested. Also, we present how to use this apparatus and its software as a whole, and how to calibrate it and investigate some test with this apparatus and compare the given data with the theoretical result.
