AbstractWith the rapid advancement of intelligent technologies in the energy sector, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms in the analysis and optimization of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in commercial buildings has emerged as a novel approach to enhance energy efficiency, reduce costs, and improve thermal comfort for occupants. This study aims to investigate and analyze the role of AI algorithms in optimizing HVAC system performance. In this regard, methods based on artificial neural networks, genetic algorithms, reinforcement learning, and fuzzy logic have been examined as key tools. Recent studies indicate that employing these algorithms can lead to a ۱۵% to ۳۰% reduction in energy consumption, improved temperature and humidity control, and extended equipment lifespan. This research, while elucidating intelligent decision-making mechanisms in HVAC systems, analyzes the strengths and challenges of implementation in commercial buildings. The findings suggest that integrating AI algorithms with Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) can be an effective step toward achieving smart, sustainable, and energy-efficient buildings.Keywords: Artificial intelligence, HVAC systems, energy optimization, commercial buildings, neural networks
