چکیده
Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) has become an essential component of assisted reproductive technologies, allowing early detection of genetic abnormalities in embryos before implantation. A critical step in this process is the biopsy of blastomeres from cleavage-stage embryos, which must be performed with the utmost precision and under strictly hygienic conditions. Maintaining high standards of hygiene during blastomere biopsy is crucial for several reasons. First, contamination with external DNA or cross-sample transfer can lead to inaccurate genetic diagnoses, including false-positive or false-negative results, which may result in the selection or rejection of embryos based on erroneous data. Second, microbial contamination can compromise embryo viability and reduce the chances of successful implantation and pregnancy. Therefore, the use of sterile equipment, DNA-free consumables, proper handling techniques, and rigorous laboratory protocols is imperative. Furthermore, staff training and environmental monitoring are key to minimizing the risk of contamination. Ensuring a contamination-free environment enhances the reliability and accuracy of PGT, safeguards embryo health, and improves clinical outcomes. This emphasizes that hygiene is not a supplementary measure but a foundational requirement for successful and trustworthy genetic testing in the context of reproductive medicine.کلیدواژه ها
