چکیده

The objective of this study was to review research on willingness to pay (WTP) for hypertension screening. A systematic search of studies was conducted in PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science to identify all studies that estimated the WTP for hypertension screening. The quality of the studies was appraised using the Smith and CREAET checklists. For the comparison between the extracted WTPs, the WTP values were converted to US dollars in ۲۰۲۰ using exchange rate parity and the net present value formula. Furthermore, effective factors in determining WTP were extracted. Four studies were identified: two studies used the CVM method and two studies used the DCE method to estimate the WTP for hypertension screening. The extracted WTP values varied from ۵.۸ to ۷۰۷.۷۱ among the countries of the USA, Denmark, the UK, and China. WTP values for hypertension screening were positive in all studies. Reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases, high frequency of blood pressure measurement, and easy access to the health centers were the key important factors influencing people's WTP for hypertension screening. The results of this study cannot be generalized to all countries because there were no studies in this regard from low and middle-income countries.
