This study presents a multi-objective optimization approach to automotive body material selection that seeks to trade-offmechanical performance, cost savings, and environmental sustainability. Utilizing advanced numerical modelling andexperimental verification, ۴۵ different materials, including metals, composites, and polymers, were evaluated on the basis ofstrength-to-weight ratio, hardness-to-cost efficiency, and environmental friendliness. The findings indicate that carbon fibercomposite, titanium alloys, and hybrid polymer-metal structures are the optimal materials for light yet strong automotiveparts, such that fuel efficiency can be increased by up to ۱۲%. Environmental research indicated that natural fibercomposites and aluminum-polymer hybrids significantly reduce CO₂ emissions and energy demands and facilitate globaltrends toward eco-friendly vehicle manufacturing. Despite budget and scalability problems in integrating high-performancerecycled content, the study points to spurring innovation in future lightweight automobile development, focusing on the partthat data-driven material selection methods play in reducing carbon footprints and improving vehicle efficiency.
