چکیده
Introduction: Cerebral palsy is the most common movement disorder that is associated with disability and lifelong motor impairment and can lead to disabilities such as lesions, functional limitations, and participation limitations. Occurrence of motor-psychological disorders leads to non-use of limbs, more weakness and paralysis, disruption in performing daily life activities, more dependence and ultimately causes pressure ulcers in patients. Considering that educational programs are a way to convey basic information to caregivers, the present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of education on the level of awareness of caregivers and the healing process of pressure ulcers in these patients. Methods: In this semi-experimental study (before and after), the studied population consisted of all cerebral palsy children with pressure ulcers under home care, which were ۲۰ people. Individual characteristics and clinical characteristics and the level of awareness of their caregivers were collected using a questionnaire through face-to-face interviews. The wound care observation review form based on the guidelines of the Institute of Health Care and Research (AHCPR) and the wound assessment review form based on the Wound Status Measurement Tool (PSST) were developed and evaluated before and after the training. Data analysis was done using SPSS statistical software at a significance level of P≤۰.۰۵. Findings: In order to determine the effect of training on the pressure ulcer healing process, the pressure ulcer evaluation form (in terms of wound color, condition of the surrounding tissue, secretions and dimensions of the wound) was observed at intervals of ۳ days before and after the training for ۱۱ days and the changes was registered; The comparison of the average scores of the pressure ulcer assessment in the first round before and after the test did not show any significant difference; Only about the amount of secretions, the difference was close to significant (P=۰.۰۵). The comparison of the average scores of the pressure ulcer assessment in the second time before and after the training did not show any significant difference; But regarding wound color, secretions and wound dimensions, the mean scores before and after training showed a significant difference (Pکلیدواژه ها
