چکیده

Wounds are a common and complex issue in healthcare, often requiring multidisciplinary collaboration for effective management. Achieving successful wound healing involves multiple physiological and immunological processes, alongside physical, social, and sociological factors. Treatment typically includes topical and oral therapies, adjustment of mechanical factors, and modification of behaviors and lifestyles. Although the causes of wounds in dermatology are highly diverse, the importance of nutrition plays a crucial role in all stages of wound healing. Nutrition is a key component of health, and impaired nutritional status is associated with an increased risk of wound formation, difficulty in management, and slower wound healing. Malnutrition weakens the immune system, reduces collagen synthesis, and diminished tensile strength during the wound healing process. Therefore, assessing and optimizing nutritional status should be included as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for individuals with wounds. Since the existing studies in this field are scattered, there is a need for a systematic review to collect and evaluate the scientific evidence.
