چکیده
Introduction: Chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, impose a significant burden on patients and healthcare systems. Optimal management of diabetic foot ulcers requires input from multiple healthcare specialists, which does not always yield favorable outcomes for patients living in remote areas. This is where telehealth emerges as a popular solution to enhance wound management. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the impact of technology-based interventions in the management of diabetic foot ulcers. Search Strategy: A thorough search of the literature was conducted in line with PRISMA guidelines. Various databases, such as PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science, were searched for studies relating to wearable devices used in wound care. Keywords such as 'of technology-based,' 'diabetic,' 'remote monitoring,' 'foot ulcers,' and 'telehealth' were used to find relevant articles published between January ۲۰۱۹ and July ۲۰۲۴. To ensure unbiased results, a double-blinded screening process was applied. After eliminating duplicate and irrelevant studies, the remaining articles were selected based on their focus on clinical applications of technology-based clinical interventions in the management of diabetic foot ulcers. And ۱۴ articles were included in the study according to the inclusion criteria Result: Evidence from studies indicates the effectiveness of a combination of technology-based interventions. These interventions include email, telephone, and video conferencing to facilitate the implementation of telemedicine using specialized systems, tablets, mobile phones, and applications such as Skype and specialized interactive systems. Improvements were observed in long-term wound healing, a reduction in lower limb amputations, and decreased mortality rates among telehealth and technology-based care groups in the target community. Overall, patient and physician perceptions of telehealth have been positive. Conclusion: Technology-based interventions have been well accepted by both patients and healthcare providers, demonstrating positive efficacy along with good efficiency and safety.کلیدواژه ها
