چکیده
Wound healing is a multifaceted biological process encompassing tissue repair and regeneration. This process may be impeded by factors including infection, inflammation, and compromised cellular functions, resulting in prolonged recovery. Conventional treatments frequently fail to adequately resolve these underlying complications, underscoring the necessity for more efficacious therapeutic strategies. Wound healing is an essential biological process, yet it is frequently hindered by factors such as infection, inflammation, and compromised cellular functions, which can prolong or complicate recovery. Traditional therapies frequently prove insufficient in managing these complexities, resulting in prolonged healing and increased likelihood of complications. Innovative therapies are being developed to expedite tissue repair and address these limitations. The integration of piezoelectric nanozymes with sonodynamic therapy (SDT) is among the most promising strategies. Sonodynamic therapy (SDT) is a non-invasive method employing ultrasound waves to activate sonosensitizers, which produce reactive oxygen species (ROS) that can selectively eradicate bacteria and damaged cells. SDT is especially efficacious in the treatment of infected wounds, where traditional methods may be inadequate. In contrast to photodynamic therapy (PDT), which necessitates light activation, sonodynamic therapy (SDT) provides enhanced tissue penetration via sound waves, rendering it more appropriate for addressing extensive, intricate wounds. The synergy of SDT and piezoelectric nanozymes presents novel opportunities for enhanced and expedited wound healing. This review examines the integration of piezoelectric nanozymes with sonodynamic therapy (SDT) to improve wound healing. Sonodynamic therapy (SDT) utilizes ultrasound waves to activate sonosensitizers, resulting in the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) that specifically target and eliminate damaged cells and bacteria. SDT's distinctive characteristic, in contrast to photodynamic therapy (PDT), is its utilization of sound waves, facilitating deeper tissue penetration and rendering it appropriate for larger and more intricate wounds. Piezoelectric nanozymes are employed to augment therapeutic effects by converting mechanical energy from ultrasound into electrical signals, thus enhancing reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. This multimodal strategy enhances cellular proliferation, diminishes inflammation, and more effectively addresses infections. The review also addresses critical elements such as enhancing sonosensitizer design, regulating drug release, and choosing suitable wound dressings to augment overall treatment efficacy. Research indicates that the incorporation of piezoelectric nanozymes with sonodynamic therapy markedly enhances the wound healing process. This combination accelerates tissue repair, diminishes inflammation, and effectively combats infections, surpassingکلیدواژه ها
