چکیده مقاله:

People with diabetes may experience various foot problems. Even minor injuries can worsen and lead to serious complications. Lower limb amputations in diabetic adults increased by ۵۰% between ۲۰۰۹ and ۲۰۱۵. Amputation in diabetics can be prevented by proper training in foot care methods. Diabetic people are exposed to foot problems due to nerve damage and reduced blood flow, and this is the reason why ۱ out of every ۵ diabetic people go to medical centers. The present study evaluated and measured health literacy in group training sessions for wound management (foot care in diabetic patients) by providing support packages and the Reaim health education model in all health centers and health centers of East Azerbaijan province. Descriptive research was conducted using a researcher-made questionnaire. Findings showed that the evaluation of group training sessions for wound management in East Azerbaijan Province indicated an increased participation rate and improved healing and wound care by patients. The evaluation questionnaire revealed significant knowledge transfer, attitude change, and behavior change.
