Type ۲ diabetes is a common disease whose prevalence is increasing. It is predicted that by ۲۰۳۰, the number of people suffering from this disease will reach ۴۴۰ million people from ۳۵۰ million people. One of the most serious complications of this disease is delayed wound healing, which is associated with chronic inflammation, oxidative stress and disruption of epithelial regeneration. Despite the significant societal burden and severe clinical consequences associated with this disease, the underlying mechanisms of diabetic wound healing remain largely unknown. Consequently, the development of new therapeutic methods to accelerate wound healing is of great importance. One of the new methods that has attracted the attention of researchers is the use of stem cells, which are considered a powerful tool for wound healing due to their multifaceted therapeutic effects, including the capacity to reduce inflammation and self-renewal and differentiation. One of these cells that has recently been studied in this field are hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs), which with their properties can be effective in the healing process of diabetic wounds. In this article, we are going to investigate the role of HSCs in the healing process of diabetic wounds.
