چکیده
Background and Objective: Home healthcare has emerged as a novel approach within health systems, particularly in wound care, due to the increasing prevalence of chronic wounds and the necessity for specialized care. Nurses play a pivotal role in delivering these care services. However, the experiences of nurses in this domain have not been thoroughly investigated. This study aims to elucidate the experiences of home care nurses regarding wound dressing for patients. Methods: This qualitative study was conducted in ۲۰۲۴ in Golestan Province. The participants included ten nurses providing wound care for patients at home. Data collection was initiated through structured interviews, beginning with an open-ended question: 'Please share your experiences related to wound care.' Purposeful sampling was employed. Data analysis was performed using conventional content analysis. Results: The findings of this study depicted the experiences of wound care nurses across five main themes and fourteen sub-themes. The main themes included: a systematic perspective on wounds, neglected care within medical sciences, the artistry and specialized skills of nurses and the healthcare team, equipment and policies for wound care, and the patient's lifestyle and family acceptance. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that wound care in current medical practices appears to be overlooked. The experiences of home care nurses reflect their efforts towards treatment and the development of the care process within the healthcare system. This study highlights the quality of services provided to patients and the challenges faced in home wound care.کلیدواژه ها
