In real time signal processing high speed noise reduction techniques are necessary to deliver proper data in the proper time to the processing core. In addition to the speed of filtering, power consumption can be the other major factor for these kinds of systems specially when considering the increasing usage of portable devices that have to work for a reasonable time by a battery. In this paper we propose a low power high speed architecture to implement one dimensional median filter which highly applicable to reduce impulse noises
