چکیده

Recognition of characters and numbers is one of the human interests in computer science and image processing. Until now, several methods have been proposed for the recognition of characters and numbers in different languages. In these methods, many different techniques have been used. This does not verity in the Persian Language. The purpose of this paper was to evaluate two different algorithms for the recognition of handwritten or printed Persian characters and numbers. Each of this algorithms uses specific method for this purpose, which their performance may vary according to input, applied processing methods on inputs including characters, letters or numbers
