چکیده
This paper was going to present modern translation aspects and strategies relevant to literary translation. For this, it analyzed two different TL texts, and their characteristic from various aspects. It considered Irfāni concepts, all of them selected from the Rumi's Masnavi and its two English translated versions by Whinfield and Nicholson. This process requires to understand and to know the definition of Irfān in both languages. Hence, as the first step the corpus in the SL was read and analyzed completely. Afterwards two English versions of the poetry were scrutinized thoroughly through Venuti’s domestication and foreignization methods. The result revealed that both translators try to convey the desirable meaning of the poet, for this reason they adopted combination of different strategies. And also the other finding of this research was the number of literal translation which was exploited by two translators. Finally findings of this paper pinpointed that these translations were basically source oriented. Both translators tried to convey as much as possible the container and the content of the source text by using different strategiesکلیدواژه ها
