چکیده
Emphasizing Derrida's famous ' Deconstruction', Bernstein's Asylum and Baraheni’s Fourteen New Pieces for Dream and Wedding and Death are two avant-garde poems propose a kind of postmodern poetry that is too dependent to language, as its entity. Asylum contains deconstructive lines around the problems of poor political and social activists who victimize their life to defend their belief. In this text, Bernstein tries to propose a new mode of language in which the 'autonomous' power of dictatorship is attacked. On the other hand, Fourteen New Pieces for Dream and Wedding and Death lacks clear structure and sufficient meaning. Baraheni intentionally goes into break with old tradition of language. The reader faces with a poor male lover-narrator who is so deeply in love that his face becomes exactly similar to his female beloved's face Then, ironically a second male falls in love with his face. This paper tries to compare grammatical deconstruction in these two long poems. To do this, the researcher identifies and compares these ones as grammatical deconstruction signs in Asylum and Fourteen New Pieces for Dream and Wedding and Death :• focusing on line rather than sentence• focusing of stanza rather than paragraph• attack to meaning and language syntax• intentionally and continuously presenting of too many names, adjectives or meaningless fragments• creating a series of sentences beginning with the same pronoun• presenting a new role to some verbs• producing something mysterious and very impenetrable • hide of the rules of the game• radical shifts of imagery• unlogically connected lines • opening a new horizon in the beginning of each line or stanza In conclusion, Bernstein's grammatical deconstruction doesn't mean lack of grammar and a kind of absolute disorder. He tries to rearrange prepositions rather than hesitate. Similarly, Barahani proposes a new mode in making verb in Persian grammar to show language has a great unused unknown potential that avant-garde poet should discover and light it to create new poetry. Bernstein attacks standard grammatical patterns to prevent accumulating references to enthrall the reader by diminishing diversions from. He believes that ' the rules of grammar' mainly agree with' the laws of thought'. Then, in Asylum , he tries to go to new and unknown parts of language. On the other hand, Baraheni proposes that various versions of poetic assumption are proposed that are based on grammatical and syntax deconstruction in order to create an independent poetry.کلیدواژه ها
