The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into architectural design is transforming the field of parametric architecture, merging computational power with creative ingenuity. This convergence enables architects to navigate unprecedented levels of complexity, optimize resource use, and respond dynamically to environmental and societal demands. Parametric architecture, characterized by its algorithm-driven manipulation of design parameters, has historically been limited by human computational capacity and the manual development of design scripts. However, with the advent of AI technologies, such as machine learning and generative algorithms, parametric design now extends beyond human-imposed limitations to produce innovative and adaptive solutions at scales previously unimaginable. This study explores the transformative potential of AI in parametric architecture, examining its ability to automate decision-making, refine iterative processes, and synthesize data-driven insights. By leveraging vast datasets and computational models, AI not only enhances design precision but also facilitates sustainability and customization. This evolution signals a future where architecture is increasingly responsive, eco-efficient, and tailored to diverse needs. While the integration of AI offers remarkable opportunities, it also raises critical questions about authorship, ethical implications, and the role of human creativity in an era dominated by intelligent systems. Through a balanced investigation of results, case studies, and challenges, this exploration charts the trajectory of AI in reshaping parametric architecture for a more innovative and sustainable built environment.
