چکیده

Production strategy studies focus on the content and process of production strategy and less attention has been paid to taxonomic studies in this area. The taxonomic study of production strategy not only provides a suitable description of the strategic groups of the organization but also provides the necessary basis for more specialized studies such as examining performance, the appropriate form of production decisions in each group, and theorizing in it. Taxonomic studies have been conducted in a limited number in different parts of the world, and on the other hand, regional and time changes have been recognized as effective factors on strategic clusters. In this study, a taxonomic study of production strategies has been conducted in Iran. K-mean cluster analysis was used to analyze the data and four strategic clusters were identified. The findings indicate the difference of these clusters compared to other studies. Implications were given for each cluster and finally limitations and suggestions for future research were presented.
