چکیده

This article examines the critical analysis of cultural relations between Iran and Russia from a historical perspective while considering future prospects. The relationship between these two countries, which began with the incursions of the Slavs into Iran in the third century AH, has experienced numerous developments and fluctuations. From military invasions to cultural interactions, these relations have continuously changed under the influence of geographical, political, and economic factors. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union in ۱۹۹۱, Russia and Iran no longer shared a common land border; however, cultural, economic, and military relations between the two countries continued. This article focuses on the historical and cultural contexts of these relations, particularly in the realm of cultural, economic, and military exchanges from the Qajar era to the Russian Federation. Over the years, significant milestones in the relationship between the two countries include economic cooperation in the energy sector, military collaboration, especially during the Syrian crisis, and interactions in the area of regional politics. Additionally, in recent decades, international sanctions against both countries have strengthened economic and military cooperation. This article relies on reputable Russian, English, and Persian sources, employing historical research methods and content analysis to explore the key points of convergence and divergence in these relations. It also analyzes the future of these interactions from a cultural and geopolitical perspective. The research findings indicate that the relationship between Iran and Russia, although historically accompanied by numerous challenges, holds significant potential for development and deepening in cultural and scientific domains. Furthermore, this article assesses the roles of both countries in shaping a new regional order in the Middle East and Central Asia.
