A Review On Recent Advancements In Nano Materials Application For Dental Treatments

Nanotechnology has rapidly expanded into all areas of science; In modern dentistry, nanotechnology has been exploited in the development of restorative materials with some significant success. There are a variety of new dental products available, ranging from implants to oral hygiene products that rely on nanoscale properties. Nanomaterials have strengthened their foothold among tissue engineering strategies for treating bone and dental defects in dentistry too. The purpose of this review is to bring into the awareness of the readers the various practical dimensions of the nanodentistry in healthcare and other areas. A methodological approach was adopted to collect the latest data on nanotechnology from official websites. Nanodentistry is an emerging field in dentistry that involves the use of nanomaterials, nano robots, and nanotechnology to diagnose, treat, and prevent dental diseases. The recent advances in nanodentistry and innovations in oral health-related diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic methods required to maintain and obtain perfect oral health, and the application of AFM(atomic force microscope) have been discussed.The results summarize the descriptive analyses of the uses of nanodentistry within orthodontics, preventive dentistry, prosthodontics, restorative dentistry, periodontics, dental surgeries, dental restoration technologies, and other areas of dentistry. The major limitations to the use of dental nano products are their cost-effectiveness and accessibility, especially in financially constrained countries. These data will help the readers to experience a detailed analysis and comprehensive covering of the diverse achievements of nanodentistry and future implications.
