In this paper a robust method presents the design of the TCSC
and the PSS
controllers based on PSO
and Chaos algorithms for power system stability enhancement. Single Machine Infinite Bus (SMIB) system with TCSC
located at the transmission line has been considered to evaluate the proposed controllers. Quick damping of oscillations of generator is the aim of designing of optimum controllers for TCSC
whether the input power of generator has been changed suddenly. From the first, for normal loading condition, the system with proposed controllers has been simulated while the input power of generator has been changed suddenly, then the dynamic responses of generator have been presented with and without controllers. Thereafter, for three states viz light loading condition, normal loading condition and heavy loading condition, to show the robustness of proposed controllers, the system with previous disturbance has been simulated, then the dynamic responses of generator have been shown. Eigenvalues analysis exposes exceptional performances of the proposed controllers. The simulation results show that the system composed with proposed controllers has suitable operation in fast damping of oscillations of generator.
